Dog Walking
Giving dogs the chance to be at their best is paramount to all our services. This starts with the walk, the highlight of their day and the foundation of our daily offerings.
We carry out walks regularly throughout the day, on a small group basis. Visiting different locations within the local area, each having been thoroughly pre-inspected, you and your pet will benefit from them getting exercise they require. This also gives the dog variation and new experiences, exposure to other dogs and the opportunity to socialise/play, developing good behaviours when out and about.
As long as the conditions are suitable and it is the right level of exercise for the dog, our walks are an hour long. This is something many can't guarantee!
Variation in location is particularly important to prevent boredom and promote development, but the one constant is the connection with their walker. Dogs are happiest when they are with us and making us happy, your dog will get to build a relationship with their walker and benefit from the micro-focused attention only afforded to those exercised in small groups or one to one by a dedicated professional.
Another benefit that Luke’s Pets offers is the opportunity to have dogs that have come into season walked closely supervised or on a one to one basis (subject to availability) We will do our best to recognise this occurrence and work with you to find a suitable solution to ensure your dog still gets the exercise they need.
Likewise, if your dog requires specialised attention and cannot be walked with other dogs at the present, we will work with you offering our training and socialisation services to try and develop new behaviours more suitable to group walks, if desired. We may have the rare opportunity to offer one to one walks too.
So get in contact today to book a consultation at your convenience, we’d love to meet your dog and have them join us on our adventures!

Doggy Day Care - Our Enganging Alternative To Traditional Or Field Based Day Care
Doggy day care offered by Luke’s Pets is the best way to keep your loved ones active, as well as captivated with and excited by what the day has in store for them. What's better than one walk? More walks with more buddies!
Studies have proved dogs love nothing more than our company, but often the commitments we have in the real world means owners cannot spend all the time they would like with their pet. Sometimes a dog may need a greater level of exercise or mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. Extended periods of socialisation and time spent interacting with other dogs is also a superb way to encourage a well rounded, symbiotic personality that will benefit their relationship with other animals as well as their bond with you and your family.
Our day care includes regular walks in small groups of dogs, visiting a variety of pre-inspected locations chosen to stimulate their senses and maintain the suitable level of fitness for the individual. They will get to meet different dogs throughout the day, maximising socialisation and play opportunities. When it’s time for a break, they are able to relax in a comfort with access to fresh water and, if required, to be fed separate from other dogs.
You can choose between a half day or full day option and, unlike many day care offerings, we will work with you to make timings fit your needs and schedule, ensuring your pets get the care and attention most suitable for them.
Please note we do not work from a home address/field facility, nor do we provide a drop off option - all dogs will be collected from and returned to your home or designated address.

As a reminder: we don’t do pack walks, we don’t exceed the legal limit of dogs set out by our insurance (we are fully insured with Cliverton, the leading pet public liability insurance provider) and there’s no monotonous, unstimulating trudges around the same small territory every day.
Unlike field based dog centres, our people to dog ratio is far lower and thus greater safety, care and attention is focused on the individual needs of your pet. We will make sure only compatible dogs are exercised and socialised together. We also collect far fewer dogs in our vehicle, reducing stops and time spent on the road in a crate and increasing time spent socialising, having fun and getting the exercise your dog needs.
You will know specifically who is looking after your dog, their experience and the safety processes they have gone through to have the privileged position of caring for you beloved.
Being able to offer this level of individual service with the experience to exceed the highest of professional standards is what makes us.
